I can understand Allison's frustration, but knowing just how much vitamin c is in the product does not seem like it would make too much of a difference. It would raise many more questions as well. Like How much Vitamin C is needed to be effective? what about when it is combined with other antioxidants? can it be less? Does the Form of vitamin C matter? and if so what antioxidants does it pair well with? my personal thinking is that you probably do not need high percentages..but society as a whole always things more is better..so if the percentages were listed like vitamin c 1% vitamin a.5% vitamin e 2% and so forth people might not think that is *good* enough. When in reality a high percentage may not be any more effective than what is supplied. Also when you look at the whole all the of the antioxidants combined together may equal 20% of the formula and may be stronger together when formulated with the smaller percentages? I do find it all quite intriguing and im always on the lookout to learn more and it is always good to question! and that is definatly what paula encourages! not trying to ruffle any feathers or anything, just sharing my thoughts :)

Of course not Allison, we'd never fault anyone for wanting to know! That's what we're all about here at Beautypedia! I think the issue was the implication that we were being somehow hypocritical, and that's simply not the case.

Sometimes Paula's reviews disclose percentages of the main active ingredient so it leads me to believe that any company should provide that information - including Paula's Choice. I am fully aware that you provide an ingredient list and I am not asking for a specific formula.

I currently use the Super Antioxidant Concentrate and I wanted to be reassured that I am using a quality Vitamin C in enough of a percentage for it to do something. That is why I asked an expert in the Live Chat offered by the main website, what is the percentage of Vitamin C in that particular product. You can't blame people for trying to make sure that they get the best for their money.

Allison & Joshua:

The issue here is not about percentages -- asking for information that specific can definitely infringe on proprietary rights -- what is important is disclosing what the product's ingredients. We don't ask for the specific formula, we're simply talking about knowing what's inside the bottle by way of an ingredient list. Paula's Choice products clearly list every ingredient on the label and online -- that's not one bit hypocritical if you ask me!

You aren't completely forthcoming about the percentages of ingredients in your products either! On a number of occasions I've asked about the percentage of various ingredients (vitamin C was one example in one of your antioxidant concentrates) and I was told "that information is not made available".

It seems like the pot calling the kettle black here!

Why was I not able to find out the percentage of Vitamin C in your Super Antioxidant Concentrate?
