Paul: I often do use my Blackberry camera for just that reason, but only if the moment is just right because sales reps do tend to get very nervous when you start taking photos of their products... so I generally just do what makes the most sense at the time. Thanks for the great suggestion though!

I do the same thing.:)

But can I offer you some advice?

Rather than writing down all the ingredients, I take a picture of the ingredient list using my phone. Doing it this way saves me the time of having to sit there and write very long chemical names and is more accurate because the camera never lies (as the saying goes). You do need a good camera phone to get the focus right.

I hope this helps. Keep up the brilliant work!

Don't assume she was mouthing corporate speak; salespeople often just try to cover their own lack of knowledge or their impatience with a customer. Which certainly makes that a bad salesperson but doesn't really tell you much about the company or their products. There may be many reasons to not use Clarins but rejecting them on the basis of this salesperson isn't one of them. Harriet, you also might want to read some of Paula's comments on the dangers of assuming that "natural" or "organic" translates to better or safer.

Do you have to go to the counter and write down the ingredient of clarins? I mean, since you have a lot of members in beauty pedia, why not let one of them who own this clarins' product tell you the ingredient? Of course, maybe you need a double check to the counter, but you don't need to tell a lie each time.

I was planning on going to their warehouse sale in the middle of may as it's only 5 miles from where I live....i think i'd better stay with what i am using which includes facial acupuncture (every other week) plus the vegan skin products from Greenridge organics...however, I like to change everything six months to non -phony skin care....

i would have totally pointed their "featured" ingredient as #18 cuz i'm curious about how she would try to explain herself. that's just ridiculous!
