Its odd for me not finding in this edition Kanebo. Isnt Kanebo sold in USA? Its one of the most famous high price cosmetic brands here in Europe.

All of the reviews in the new edition of the book are also on Beautypedia (with the exception of discontinued items discovered after the book went to print). In addition, Beautypedia features reviews of over 100 brands we couldn’t fit into the book. Lots of people enjoy the book, which is why we keep publishing them, but Beautypedia is the definitive, all-inclusive resource for Paula’s skin care and makeup reviews.

Regarding the comment about the price of Paula’s Choice products in Australia:
As a separate entity altogether, our distributors (Australia included) often buy products from Paula’s Choice U.S.A. at less favorable exchange rates. There may also be import duties and costly shipping fees along with additional legal and Regulatory fees to pay for the privilege of selling and distributing imported skin-care and cosmetic products. Unfortunately, those extra fees are beyond our control or the control of our distributors.

I agree with Natalie that Paula does have a following in Australia, however, there are 2 things that irk me a little as an Aussie fan.

Firstly, Paula’s Choice products are not cheap here! For example, $47.60 for a pressed powder is comparable to Clinique, MAC or other department store brands rather then L’Oreal or Revlon which sell for around $20.

Also, the best and worst products of the month which appear on the Australian Paula’s Choice website are often brands which are not available in Australia (this is the case with BOTH products this month)

Wow, thank you Bryan! I hope it’s released in Oz very without delay. I await anxiously the release of any book by Paula! I remember being in a well known Sydney book store literally stumbling upon an old edition more than 5 years ago – and have been a faithful follower ever since. I now recommend Paula’s works and knowledge to friends and family. Thanks to both of you for keeping it real and peeling back the facade for us beauty junkies!

The Rubinstein line is not reviwed in the new book and, as a matter of course, isn’t on Beautypedia either. It is no longer sold in the United States or Canada, and that’s our primary readership. It’s a L’Oreal brand, so they don’t sell anything that other L’Oreal brands don’t also sell in some incarnation. When we reviewed them for the 6th edition, we found this line had the same basic traits as Lancome: mediocre to poor skin care, mostly excellent makeup (particularly the mascaras).
