This is a belated comment regarding the Barneys debacle - sorry if I've broken any rule.

Bryan B jokingly asked if anyone could find an easier way to get ingredient lists without having to be harassed, or threatened (for want of better terms). I just want to say that in Sydney, Australia, I do it all the time - no problem! In fact, now I wouldn't purchase a product without viewing it (even if Paula views it favourably). It's Paula's valuable work - and that of her resilient assistants - which is the reason I check all ingredient lists. All savvy consumers should!

Now, I even go one step further and ask where a product is manufactured - and that is usually only something that can be detected from the product packaging itself. Anyway, I get some strange looks, but never any opposition. It's just accepted that I'm an aware customer - as it should be. It's amazing how the sales assistants are completely unaware of such detail ...

I do shop in upmarket Sydney department stores for makeup - not skincare - as we don't have a wide variety of your so-called drugstore brands in Oz, nor the whole product line. I'm extremely pale, and it's difficult to get the right colours, so I tend to spend more on makeup than skincare.

I can't wait to get Paula's new book! I would be completely lost without this book ...

That is so cool! Granted, in New Zealand we'll never see the range as there's no Nordstrom (or Sephora) here, but yay for the look of non sun-damaged skin being cool again!

Of course, many people will not catch on that a tan = sun damage, but perhaps I won't be rolling my eyes so much if less people are enthusiastic about getting a 'healthy' dose of sun and raving about how they didn't burn while achieving their 'safe tan'.

You'll see me milking the value of my lily white legs for all their worth this Summer!
