Bryan has been working with Paula for 11 years, and essentially functions as her “mini-me”. He spent many years working for various cosmetic lines in the retail sector, as a makeup artist, consultant, and manager. His first project with Paula was the fifth edition of Don’t Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me. Since then, he has played an integral role in subsequent editions of that book along with the third edition of Don’t Go Shopping for Hair-Care Products Without Me and The Beauty Bible. Bryan also served as co-writer and editor of Paula’s former newsletter Cosmetics Counter Update. He currently manages the comprehensive Web site Beautypedia.com and continues to evaluate research and write product reviews with Paula.

A Michigan native, Bryan has lived in the Seattle area for ten years and now considers the northwest home. He loves movies and music equally, enjoys snowboarding, camping, and whitewater rafting, and is never too far from his iPod. He is a doting “Dad” to two Pomeranians, one of whom routinely accompanies him to the office.
