Nathan Rivas works at Paula’s Choice in Customer Service, social media, and as a contributing writer and researcher. Nathan is currently completing his Bachelors of Science degree from Northeastern University, and spends much of his time fretting over graduate school. After an awkward adolescence, Nathan realized his interest in writing, research, science, and expressing a strong opinion whenever possible. He has a background in research writing, academic tutoring, and is frequently observed asking annoying questions. A longtime reader of Paula’s work, his employment with Paula’s Choice has allowed him the opportunity to join the frontlines of the battle for the consumer in a beauty industry run amok. He drinks a lot of coffee, loves all non-human vertebrates, and denies his addiction to Playstation 3.

Nathan and his partner are recent transplants to the Seattle area and live with their lunatic dachshund, along with two cats: a mime-Manx and street-wised Bombay. Whenever he isn’t spending time at home, working, or being learned, he likes to eat (vegan), workout, and catch up on his interest in social anthropology. In 2011, Nathan looks forward to starting his M.S. in Technical Writing and Communication, and swears that he will learn to speak Italian.
